Daniel Rodriguez is a mixed martial artist who has competed across multiple weight classes in the sport since making his professional debut in the sport. He started training in boxing and eventually switched to mixed martial arts in his late twenties. He was scheduled to take on Kelvin Gastelum in a welterweight showdown on June 22, 2024, in Saudi Arabia. However, Gastelum’s struggle with his weight cut forced the promotion to change the fight into a middleweight contest.
