Sean O’Malley is a leading professional mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division of the elite professional martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He made his professional mixed martial arts debut on March 6, 2015, against Josh Reyes at Intense Championship Fighting 17 in a bantamweight bout. O’Malley won the fight by a first-round TKO and started his professional career in a dominant fashion.

Sean O’Malley generated a lot of hype in the UFC right after getting signed by the promotion. Given the traction that surrounded him, O’Malley received a shot at the UFC bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling on August 19, 2023, at UFC 292. He shut Serling’s lights in the second round and became the bantamweight champion of the promotion.
