Brandon Moreno vs. Sergio Pettis

Brandon Moreno and Sergio Pettis faced off in the main event of UFC Fight Night 114 on August 5, 2017, in Mexico City. Moreno started strong, dominating the first round with takedowns and control on the ground. However, Pettis turned the tide in the later rounds, winning the striking exchanges and securing a unanimous decision victory.

During the first round, Moreno showcased his grappling skills by taking Pettis down and maintaining control on the ground. He even attempted a rear-naked choke while having Pettis in a body triangle. Nonetheless, Pettis managed to escape and started finding his rhythm in the striking department. He landed significant punches and kicks in the second and third rounds, causing Moreno to tire.

In the fourth round, Pettis seized the opportunity and took Moreno down, controlling him for the majority of the round. Despite Moreno's efforts to bring the fight back to the ground in the final round, Pettis displayed strong defense, remaining upright and securing the round.
