Belal "Remember the Name" Muhammad is a welterweight fighter from the United States with Palestinian roots who fights in the UFC. Born on July 9, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, Muhammad grew up in a predominantly Muslim community and had to face a lot of adversity and discrimination growing up, which fueled his desire to become a positive role model. Aside from fighting, he has a degree in kinesiology and exercise science, which he gained at the University of Illinois. Muhammad also worked as a personal trainer before his MMA career kicked off.

Muhammad began his professional MMA career in 2012, compiling a 10-0 record on the regional circuit before joining the UFC in 2016. His UFC debut did not go in his favor as he lost to Alan Jouban via a unanimous decision. Over the years, he's racked up wins over fighters like Tim Means, Gilbert Burns, and Vicente Luque. In his last two outings, Muhammad registered a TKO victory against Sean Brady in UFC 280 and a unanimous decision win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 288. On July 27, 2024, Muhammad is slated to fight reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards in a rematch at UFC 304​​.

Belal Muhammad’s head coach is Roberto Ramirez of the Chicago Fight Team. Ramirez's coaching career began after he transitioned from being a police officer to and martial arts practitioner. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with his master being Carlson Gracie, among others. Ramirez instilled a robust work ethic and discipline into his fighters, which, to a great extent, helped Muhammad rise through the ranks and succeed at the highest level in the UFC.
