Ian Machado Garry adopted the surname of his wife, formerly known as Layla Anna-Lee and now Layla Machado Garry. She was born to a Brazilian mother and an English father, and her last name was Machado. She has two sons and the elder one is from her previous relationship and carries the Machado surname.

The reason behind Ian Garry choosing to include this in his name is that the couple wants their kids to be named similarly and feel similar for better parenting. And hence, everyone in the family is closely named as ‘Machado’, so in to bring in more togetherness among them.
