Tai Tuivasa is an Australian professional mixed martial artist and a boxer who is currently a part of the leading professional mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He fights in the heavyweight division of the elite promotion where he is placed at tenth spot as of August 16, 2024.

Soon after developing a fascination with mixed martial arts, Tai Tuivasa switched from rugby and chased a professional career in it. He made his inaugural appearance in a professional mixed martial arts cage on July 6, 2012, opposite Simon Osborne. Tuivasa started his career with a dominant win over Osborne by shutting his lights off in the first round of the bout.

After compiling a clean record of six consecutive wins without incurring a loss, Tai Tuivasa stepped foot inside the UFC octagon on November 19, 2017. He was welcomed to the octagon by Rashad Coulter at UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Tybura. Tuivasa’s promotional debut in the promotion went as planned as he defeated Coulter in the first round by knockout.

As of August 16, 2024, Tai Tuivasa is on a four-fight losing streak in the UFC. He would look to change that and return to winning ways by defeating Jairzinho Rozenstruik whom he is scheduled to face at UFC 305: Du Plessis vs. Adesanya on August 18, 2024, in a heavyweight bout.
