Sean Brady

Sean Brady is an American professional mixed martial artist who is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A professional mixed martial arts competitor since 2014, he has been a clinical opponent in the ring against his opponents and has dominated the welterweight weight class with the help of his skill inside the octagon. Brady competed in the lightweight division in his debut showdown of his professional career and has since then fought in the welterweight division.

Sean Brady went knocking on the doors of the Ultimate Fighting Championship after recording impressive success in his professional mixed martial arts career. Before joining the UFC, Brady was crowned as the Cage Fury FC welterweight champion on May 20, 2017, against Tanner Saraceno at CFFC 65, when he defeated Saraceno via first-round submission. He stormed into UFC with an unbeaten record of 11 wins and 0 losses. In his debut face-off, Brady locked horns with Court McGee on October 18, 2019, at UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs. Weidman. He won the bout via unanimous decision and sustained his unblemished record for his next fight. He suffered the first professional loss of his career against Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 via first-round TKO. Sean Brady will be returning to the octagon to lock horns with Gilbert Burns at UFC Vegas 97 on September 7, 2024, in Las Vegas, United States.

Reason for Sean Brady's previous fight cancellation

Sean Brady’s welterweight bout at UFC 290 was canceled due to an injury he suffered when the fight was just around the corner. Brady was scheduled to square off against Jack Della Maddalena at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, USA, at UFC 290 however the last-minute withdrawal of Sean Brady due to an injury forced him out. Brady was replaced by Josiah Harrell but pre-fight tests diagnosed Harrell with Moyamoya and he also pulled out of the bout leaving Jack Della Maddalena without an opponent.

What rank is Sean Brady in the UFC?

Sean Brady is ranked as the active No. 8 fighter in the UFC’s welterweight division. He has a record of 16 wins and 1 loss, in which he has won 3 fights by knockout, 5 by submission, and 8 by decision.
