With UFC 309 right around the corner, many have wondered whether Donald Trump would make an appearance at the event, given that he recently secured his second term as POTUS after defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections.
It's no secret that Trump shares a close relationship with Dana White and is often seen attending UFC events. Trump is frequently credited for helping the UFC stay in business during its infancy and consistently supporting the promotion over the years.
Will Donald Trump be at UFC 309?
Last month, Donald Trump appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast to campaign for his second presidential bid. During their conversation, Trump asked Rogan about middleweight wrestling savant Bo Nickal and whether he was competing soon.

After confirming that Nickal would be fighting Paul Craig at UFC 309 this weekend, Trump joked that he'd attend the event if he won the elections. He said:
"Oh, that [UFC 309] is going to be after the elections, so I'll either go as president, or I'll be depressed and I won't bother going."
Since the elections went Trump's way, it won't be a surprise if the 78-year-old chooses to appear at the UFC 309 event. Given that he's always received a hearty and positively loud reception whenever he's walked out, many believe an appearance at Madison Square Garden this weekend is in order.
Intriguingly, Nickal recently revealed that the soon-to-be POTUS plans to attend the UFC 309 event. The wrestling maestro told MMA journalist Ariel Helwani that Trump had told him about his plans multiple times. MMA-based X handle @mma_orbit recently shared the news in a post and wrote:
"Bo Nickal tells that Donald Trump has told him a couple of times that he plans to attend #UFC309 at Madison Square Garden this weekend."
Considering that Trump recently secured his second term as POTUS with a thumping victory, having swept all seven swing states in the country, it wouldn't surprise anyone if he topped off his win with a significant celebratory walkout with Dana White at UFC 309 before a hyped crowd of fight fans.
