MMA isn’t everyone's cup of tea, and Kid Kash realized it the hard way when he recently returned to active MMA competition for Valor Fights 38. The Former Cruiserweight Champion was knocked out straight by Lindsay Jones in the bout fought at the welterweight (170lbs) category.

The 47-year-old former wrestler lasted a mere 39 seconds in a fight that exposed his technical frailties and apparent ring-rust of the ECW veteran. This was his second professional MMA fight, the last one also ending in a loss back in 2008 against Bryan Brown.
Kash recently made the news when he called out CM Punk for an MMA fight during his promotional media tour. Kash minced no words in stating his displeasure towards CM Punk and revealed that he would love to knock Punk’s sorry a** out. He added that as both men compete in the welterweight category, the fight made a lot of sense and went on to hurl a string of abuses.
Kash was quite amazed by Punk’s non-existent defense in his UFC debut and thought that a man with two-years of training shouldn't have been finished off the way it did..
"Damn, he's the same weight that I am. How bad would I love to knock his ass out? I've never liked him. I've known the guy for at least 15 years, probably, and he's been such an arrogant asshole. He was handed so much sh*t. He never earned a f--king thing. I'm kind of amazed that he had the camp that he had for two years and went down that quick and with no defense whatsoever. I would be there with bells on it. I would love to fight that f--ker, I really would. ... He would be in for a very rude awakening. That f--ker couldn't beat my meat; he couldn't," Kash said.
Well, Kash may have to gobble up his words now as Karma wasn’t kind to him. Kash’s cheap tactic of gaining traction off Punk backfired, and Punk would be wholly happy about it. As a matter of fact, Punk lasted longer than Kash did inside the Octagon.
This would hopefully end the former TNA superstar’s unwanted methods of staying relevant and also his yearning to have another MMA fight.
