What's the story?
Brock Lesnar was touted to make a return to the UFC a few months back as Jon Jones was calling out ‘The Beast’.
Surprisingly, Lesnar has remained in the WWE and is the current Universal Champion but Francis Ngannou, the number one contender in the heavyweight division, believes he can take on the WWE star and it would be an easy win for him.
In case you didn't know...
There was a lot of speculation during SummerSlam regarding Lesnar’s future in the WWE. The Fatal 4-way for the Universal title had rumblings suggesting that The Beast would leave the promotion should he lose out.

Lesnar did retain the title and has remained champion since but the UFC would be an attractive proposition for the champ.
The heart of the matter
Ngannou, who is one of the rising stars in the UFC’s heavyweight division didn’t pull any punches while speaking on the Top Turtle MMA Podcast and suggested that he would want to face Lesnar and is actually stronger than the current Universal champion.
“I’m stronger than him. I’m the best striker in the heavyweight division and the more powerful guy. I’m also a talented guy and I will deal with that very easy.”
Ngannou did take part in UFC 218 and picked up an impressive victory over Alistair Overeem and is expected to face the champion Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title soon.
What's next?
Lesnar is expected to defend his title against a challenger at the Royal Rumble, which is to take place on January 28, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Author's take
Lesnar returning to the UFC would make sense as it would lead to a blockbuster main event, whenever The Beast does decide to return but for now, he should stick to the WWE, where he is often the main draw for the night.
Ngannou actually has bigger fish to fry as he would be looking to pick up the heavyweight title from Miocic and it might make sense for the fight between Ngannou and Lesnar to take place once the UFC’s rising star becomes a champion.
It does seem unlikely that the fight will take place anytime soon but one thing is a certainty, Lesnar would not be happy with the suggestion that Ngannou is actually the stronger one and he just might have something to say to the UFC star.
