Renato Moicano once unleashed a fierce criticism of Sean Strickland over his interview with Joe Rogan. 'Money' has earned a reputation as one of the most unapologetically outspoken figures in the sport, whether through his trash-talking interviews or sharp words on social media—and his fans can't get enough of it.
In June 2024, Strickland found himself in the crosshairs of Moicano’s biting criticism when he appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience. The Brazilian took to X to share his disdain, stating how he felt the former UFC middleweight champion made awkward remarks on the podcast, which left him unable to listen to it. He wrote:
"Trying to listen to the JRE podcast @joerogan with Sean Strickland... But [it] is cringe af... We get it... You’re white trash… move on!!!"
Moicano further asked his fans about their thoughts on the interview and claimed that Strickland’s seemingly erratic comments appeared to have made Rogan visibly uneasy:

'Money' is set to challenge reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in the main event of UFC 311 this Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Moicano was originally scheduled to face Beneil Dariush on the same card but seized the chance to earn his first title shot when Arman Tsarukyan was forced to withdraw just a day before his scheduled rematch with Makhachev due to a back injury.
When Renato Moicano delivered a memorable promo in fiery Joe Rogan interview
Renato Moicano secured an impressive first-round submission victory over Brad Riddell at UFC 281 in November 2022. During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan in the octagon, 'Money' unleashed a fiery, expletive-filled rant that resonated deeply with fans:
"Joe Rogan, I don’t know if you know me. I was ranked No. 4 in featherweight. I was the best featherweight on the planet and I lost to my idol, Jose Aldo. I lost to him. It was really bad for my career, but I moved up. I learned from my mistakes. Now, I’m f**king here to take over. All these motherf**kers, I’m here to take over. Make no mistake. I lost only to the best. But today, I’m the f**king best."
He added:
"I took a fight, a five-round fight, on five days’ notice. Five days’ notice. I was f**king drinking beer and eating steaks in Brazil. They called me, and I came here. I traveled 24 hours, and motherf**king disrespected me. I want the f**king bonus. Moicano wants money."
