Destiny 2 Raids are the pinnacle of endgame activity for Guardians. Anyone looking to experience the most challenging PvE experience in the game should run a Raid with five other Guardians. Typically, the challenge ends up giving you potent rewards, be it weapons or armor pieces. However, many in the community are often confused about whether Raids are farmable.
Each Raid consists of multiple 'encounters,' alongside checkpoints. These encounters hold different loot in the pool, capable of defining a class' build. There are nine Raids currently in the first Episode of The Final Shape, with specific ones being farmable for Legendaries and Exotics.
The term 'farmable' refers to something where a player can run a single instance multiple times to get new or old loot. Only the Raids featured in the weekly rotator are farmable for all gear pieces. The new Raids, on the other hand, are not farmable more than once per week and character.
All farmable Raids in Destiny 2
As mentioned, Destiny 2 has nine active Raids that can be run at any time by six Guardians. Depending on the week, some Raids can be farmed for additional loot. Bungie did implement a system to validate older Raids in the new sandbox by putting them in a weekly rotator. Additionally, the company removed the reward cap from these rotator Raids, making them even more viable now.
This eventually means that with time, anyone can farm every gear piece from Raids except for the latest one.
For example, let us assume the weekly rotator Raid this week is Deep Stone Crypt. To find the weekly rotator Raid, keep an eye out for Bungie's "Next Week in Destiny" message, or look for a golden Pinnacle circle beside every Raid except the newest one. For Deep Stone Crypt, opening the Europa map will be enough.
Since Deep Stone Crypt is the weekly featured Raid, you can enter this activity with your fireteam and farm one encounter for specific, or multiple drops from the loot pool. This applies to Deepsight weapons, armor pieces, and the Exotic weapons as well. Note that there isn't any bad luck protection for the Exotic.
Similarly, any Raid with an available Master variant will have the Master version available in the given week as well. For example, if the weekly rotator Raid is King's Fall, players can run Master King's Fall for Adept weapons. King's Fall, Vow of the Disciple, Crota's End, Root of Nightmares, and Vault of Glass have Master variants.
The Master versions of these Raids are available only when they are featured in a weekly rotator.
The newest Raid, however, is not farmable more than once per week and character. This means that any player that has already farmed the entire Raid on all three characters in a week will not get any more loot from encounters from the new Raid.
