The Sword event has been a lot of fun for Destiny 2 players. The ability to have infinite Heavy ammo on Swords paved the way for several builds on all three classes, regardless of whether they would be viable for a week. However, the event somehow broke an unrelated Exotic and a weapon type in the game, and everyone is exploiting it to the fullest.
The ammo regeneration on Swords during the event seems to be affecting another powerful Exotic called One Thousand Voices. It is a Heavy weapon and a Fusion Rifle that has nothing to do with Swords.
Similar to Swords, the One Thousand Voices is getting its ammo regenerated in activities, allowing players to melt anything in their path.
Bungie is aware of this issue and has allowed everyone to "go have fun" until the next reset on September 10, 2024.
One Thousand Voices now has infinite ammo amidst the Destiny 2 Sword event
The Destiny 2 Sword event is active for only a week, between September 3, 2024, and September 10, 2024. Hence, there are only a few days until the ammo regeneration buffs exit the game.
However, aside from Swords, players can use the One Thousand Voices with the same buff and perhaps do more damage from a safe distance in endgame activities.
Here's how the bug is taking place in Destiny 2:
- The current 'Sword event' is meant to grant infinite ammo regeneration to all kinds of Heavy Swords, whether blue, Legendaries, or Exotics.
- This buff of ammo regeneration is called "Blessing of Blades." It can be earned inside seasonal activities, Strikes, all Nightfall difficulties, Gambit, and the Relic game mode in the Crucible, alongside the Legend and Master Lost Sectors.
- This buff is counting towards the One Thousand Voices Exotic, a Heavy Fusion Rifle, which shouldn't be coded with it.
- In any case, players can have infinite ammo on One Thousand Voices, allowing them to breeze through any endgame content by clearing out rooms full of minors and Champions using this Heavy weapon.
One Thousand Voices can be acquired from beating the Last Wish Raid, or specifically, the Riven and the Queenswalk encounters. As mentioned, Bungie decided to keep this bug in the game, letting players have fun until the weekly reset on September 10, 2024.
Lastly, it is recommended that players take this opportunity to run the Destiny 2 Grandmaster Nightfall this week. Since the 'double reward' modifier is active, any drop from Nightfall Strikes will have an increased number, be it Exotics, upgrade materials, or the Adept weapon (Uzume).
