Popular Final Fantasy 14 holiday The Rising is confirmed for a 2024 return. Taking place between the end of August and the beginning of September, it is a replacement for the original game’s Foundation Day. It was added to the title after the launch of A Realm Reborn, alongside popular campaigns like Make It Rain.

Last year’s The Rising event in Final Fantasy 14 gave players the incredible Phoenix mount. The 2024 version does have a pair of very appealing unlocks for players, alongside a currently unknown selection of rewards from previous events. Here’s what you need to know about this year’s limited-time holiday.

Final Fantasy 14 brings back the popular holiday event The Rising in 2024

The Rising 2024 takes place in Final Fantasy 14 from August 27, 2024, at 12 am PDT to Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 7:59 am PDT. Like most FF14 limited-time events, it should only take around 20 minutes or so to complete. This makes it simple to log in and complete the quests at your leisure, instead of undergoing an incredibly lengthy grind.

As long as you are on a Level 15 Magical/Physical job - including the new Pictomancer and Viper jobs - you can begin this event. When the time has begun, make your way to Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks (11.3, 13.7), and speak to the Wandering Minstrel. Like most Limsa events, this means you’ll teleport to The Aftcastle, and head south to find this NPC.

You will have a quest or two to complete for the Wandering Minstrel, who needs your help to lay the finishing touches on this year’s celebration. Completing the quest will give you two new rewards: a Brushed-up Krile Minion and the Rising Table Lamp. This Krile minion is dressed in her Pictomancer guise, complete with a huge paintbrush.

While it’s currently unknown if the Phoenix mount will be available for purchase, it’s unlikely, as it was a quest completion reward from the previous year. However, other items that were purchased with gil will be available.

If you're a fan of such events, it won’t take you much time to complete this one. Thereafter, you can resume other activities, such as the main scenario quests in Final Fantasy 14. You still have time to complete the Moonfire Faire event, as it will run until August 26, 2024. If you haven't completed it, now might be the time to rush over to Limsa Lominsa and wrap it up.
