The Firefly Puzzle on Luma Island is one of the many challenges you will find while exploring the different biomes that the game has to offer. While this puzzle is not extremely difficult, if you don’t know how it works, you may face some difficulty figuring out its solution. However, once you figure it out, it is literally a walk in the park.

The Firefly Puzzle can only be solved at night, starting at 9 PM in-game. To begin, search the biome for glowing groups of fireflies. They typically appear in clusters of three but may be spread out in later biomes like the Mountain. Once you find the fireflies, locate the glowing blue firefly spot nearby. You must take the bugs to this blue spot to complete the puzzle.

To capture fireflies, walk through them, and they will follow you. Gather all the fireflies in the area and guide them to the blue spot as quickly as possible since they won’t follow you indefinitely. When all the insects reach the blue spot, you’ll hear an audio cue, and a treasure chest will appear.

The Firefly Puzzle gives rewards based on the biome where it is solved. In the Forest, for instance, you’ll receive Forest materials and Forest Nature Tokens. Solving the problem in the Mountain yields Mountain-specific materials and tokens.

These tokens can be exchanged at the Mushroom Man’s shop for biome-exclusive fish, Everseeds, and Luma Power Food, and so on. These boost your daily Luma Energy.

The treasure chest also includes rare materials needed for the Jewelry crafter profession, town repairs, and Tool Tokens for upgrading your tools. These rewards will help you a lot when it comes to progressing in the game, so try to complete this puzzle every time you encounter it.
