Line in the Sand is a returning weapon in Destiny 2 Episode Echoes. Much like Patron of Lost Causes and Breachlight, Line in the Sand belongs to the Season of the Dawn arsenal. Bungie has swapped out a few perks to make each of these weapons updated with the current sandbox. The weapon in question here is an Arc Heavy Linear Fusion Rifle.

This article lists the best perks on Line in the Sand Linear Fusion Rifle for mostly PvE, alongside a few more choices to ease things up in PvP. The reason for this is that heavy weapons aren't the most used types against other Guardians, making any perk combination viable in any game mode.

Line in the Sand is a Heavy Linear Fusion Rifle designed to be used against bosses, elites, and Champions in Destiny 2.

There will rarely be a time when a situation demands you to use a Heavy Linear Fusion Rifle to clear enemy groups in any activity. Hence, the following perks are meant to assist players only during boss DPS, and occasionally, while shutting down Champion enemies:

  • Polygonal Rifling for increased Stability on the weapon
  • Accelerated Coils for reduced Charge Time
  • Clown Cartridge for overfilling the magazine from reserves after reloading
  • Bait and Switch for 30% increased damage after damaging an enemy with two other weapons in the inventory

Since Line in the Sand cannot be crafted, a few adjustments can be made when it comes to the perks in the last two columns. Instead of Clown Cartridge, players can get Rapid Hit alongside Firing Line. The former grants you Stability with precision hits, and the latter grants 20% increased damage while near allies.

Heavy Linear Fusion Rifles aren't the usual weapon type you should be using in Destiny 2 PvP. Regardless, here are a few perks you can utilize against other players in Crucible:

  • Moving Target for increased movement speed and accuracy while aiming the weapon
  • Opening Shot for increased Range and accuracy with the first shot of the magazine

That is everything you need if you ever decide to use a Heavy Linear Fusion Rifle in PvP.
