Zephyr is a Stasis elemental Adaptive Framed Sword in Destiny 2, which is quite an unpopular archetype for Swords as of December 2024. Instead, players have been using the Vortex Framed archetype on these weapons, as they dish out a significantly increased damage with just one heavy attack, compared to Zephyr's Adaptive. However, there are still some synergies left with this particular weapon.
This article lists the best perks for Zephyr in PvE and PvP.
Zephyr god roll guide for Destiny 2 PvE
Here is a list of perks recommended on Zephyr for PvE:
- Hungry Edge for increased magazine size.
- Balanced Guard for increased Guard Resistance on the weapon.
- Relentless Strikes for getting Heavy ammo after landing three strikes.
- Whirlwind Blade for a constant increase in damage with rapid sword strikes to one enemy.
The combination mentioned above should help you sustain decent damage on bosses. For clearing mob groups, Chain Reaction is recommended alongside Vorpal Weapon.
Zephyr god roll guide for Destiny 2 PvP
Here is a list of perks recommended on Zephyr for PvP:
- Honed Edge for increased damage.
- Heavy Guard for increased Guard Resistance and Stability.
- Valiant Charge for increased lunge distance after receiving damage while guarding.
- Vorpal Weapon for increased damage against players with active supers.
One for All is a decent alternative, alongside Duelist Trance for higher defense after final blows. However, it is recommended that you get a Vortex Framed Sword against other players, as each heavy attack can deal area damage.
How to get Zephyr in Destiny 2?
Zephyr is available for purchase from Eva at the Tower. You can exchange one randomized version of the weapon for 1 Gift in Return and 21 Dawning Spirits. The chances of getting a god roll of Zephyr can be increased if you get the upgrades from Eva. Most notably, Perky Presents and Perkier Presents will help you get four perks across the final two columns.
Like every Dawning weapon, Zephyr cannot be crafted. However, you can enhance each perk using the upgrade materials.
