PUBG Mobile 3.6 update arrived on January 9, 2025, and is packed with new features. The main attraction of this update is the new theme mode: Sacred Quartet, which will introduce players to new mechanics and abilities. Players will also be able to use new vehicle features and weapons that enhance the gameplay experience.

Sacred Quartet and other center features of PUBG Mobile 3.6 update

These are the top five features of the PUBG Mobile 3.6 update:

1) Sacred Quartet Themed Mode and New Abilities

The PUBG 3.6 update features the new Sacred Quartet Mode, which allows players to use one of four abilities:

  • Flaming Phoenix: This ability allows players to launch fire projectiles and increases their jumping potential.
  • Aqua Dragon: Forms a water shield in front of the player. The shield is opaque and the guarded player takes reduced damage.
  • Whirlwind Tiger: The player controls a flying cloud that moves swiftly. On top of that, the user is protected by a lion-shaped shield while this ability is active.
  • Naturespirit Deer: The user summons a deer spirit that can be controlled to scout the area ahead. The player can either mark the deer's last location or teleport to it directly.

2) Elemental Devices in the Sacred Quartet

In the Four Guardians Sect area of the Sacred Quartet, players will be able to interact with three elemental devices:

  • Fire Stone: The stone is automatically picked upon approach. After picking, the player gains a short speed buff and a flame slide effect, which can be triggered by pressing the crouch button while sprinting.
  • Water Geyser: This water fountain erupts periodically. Standing atop the fountain when it erupts will launch the player into the air and grant them the ability to descend slowly.
  • Wood Vines: Players can climb the Wood Vines to gain altitude and scout the location.

3) Panda Vehicle

This new two-seater vehicle is available in the Bamboo Forest. The Panda Vehicle has two forms: Running and Rolling. In the Running form, players will be able to deal and take damage.

In Rolling form, the vehicle becomes more defensive and swiftly carries players in its arms. The vehicle will revert from Rolling to Running form after taking some damage.


4) New Vehicle Features

The PUBG Mobile 3.6 update features two new vehicle updates: Vehicle Drift and Auto Advance.

  • Vehicle Drift: Vehicles will now drift while using emergency breaks during turning. To control the drift, players must steer and adjust the throttle.
  • Auto Advance: Upon activation, this feature will accelerate the vehicle without pressing any buttons. Auto Advance makes the Vehicle Drift feature easy to use.

Additionally, both features are available on certain four-wheeled vehicles.


5) Survival Drop Metro Royale

In Metro Royale game mode, players aim to reach the extraction zone without being eliminated. The PUBG Mobile 3.6 Metro Royale features these two new mechanics:

  • Playzone Mechanic: Playzones will appear and shrink at random locations. Any players outside these locations will take damage overtimes, and will eventually be eliminated.
  • Air Drop Crates: Air Drops full of supplies will spawn randomly during the Metro Royale battles.

Due to the ban on PUBG Mobile in India, players from the country are advised to avoid downloading and playing the title on their mobile devices. That said, Krafton has released a country-specific IP, BGMI, which they can play.
