The AFK Journey new season is being modified with new features to give players a more immersive experience in the game. The developers have shared information about their ongoing work where they are implementing the following changes:

New "Grace" mechanism
Treasure stage adjustments
Less grindy Sundays
The Catch-up mechanism will remain the same

One of the major changes will be implemented in Duras's Trials, where players can take part in Treasure Challenges. In a statement, the developers revealed the changes that are coming with the new "Grace" mechanism:

"In the upcoming season, we're making Dura's Trials more dynamic and engaging. We'll be replacing the simple stat boosts for heroes and Magic Charms with a new Grace effect (working title) that will enhance a hero's unique abilities. Also, there will be a limit on the number of heroes allowed to receive this effect in each battle. This change will add a new strategic layer, as you'll need to carefully pair blessed and non-blessed heroes for the best results."

In the new season, the treasure stages will be reduced from 12 groups to six groups. To align with these changes and provide a more relaxed experience on Sundays, the developers have announced that they will open two groups of treasure stages each day in a fixed order, following a three-day cycle.

It has been further said that the catch-up mechanism will remain the same to help players reach the latest phase quickly.

In the upcoming season, a new reward system will be introduced. The working title of this system has been revealed as "Your Game, Your Choice." This will give players the freedom to choose and focus on playing their favorite modes to earn the most valuable resources and rewards.
