Goblinstein is currently one of the best champion cards in Clash Royale. Players can unlock it once they reach the Scrap Yard arena. The card was recently introduced in the Clash Royale October update along with some challenges to help people understand its uses.

It spawns a doctor with his building-targeted tank monster. The Doctor can counter the enemy's air troops while the monster takes down ground troops. This card uses a stun effect on troops that is effective for 0.5 seconds. Goblinstein has a special ability named Lightning Link which can be used for just two elixirs.

1) Use of the Lightning Link ability

Goblinstein has a special ability that can be used for two elixirs by clicking the button on the rightmost side of the screen. When used, this ability creates an electric link between the Goblinstein and his monster.

It deals massive damage by shocking nearby troops within a two-mile radius. This way players can easily counter low-health attackers and army swarms using electric shocks.

2) Elixir trade

Elixir trade is the most important aspect of Clash Royale. Players should understand that Goblinstein and his special ability will cost seven elixirs. So much elixir should be spent to take down crown towers or big tanks.

If the opponent has already used cards worth seven elixir or more, then using Goblinstein with Lightning Link would help get some elixir advantage. This way players can easily stay ahead of their opponents.

3) Bridge split

Just like Wall Breakers and Archers, players can also split Goblinstein and his monster. Goblinstein always spawns one tile in the opposite direction of the monster. If used in the middle, players can split the card to attack both the crown towers and trouble the opponent.

The Lightning Link ability can still be used. An electric link will appear covering the space between both the towers.

4) Counter army swarms

Army swarms are of no use against Goblinstein as his Lightning Link ability can easily counter them. It can also be used against swarms like Barbarians, Goblin Gang, and Three Musketeers. The Lightning Link ability would stun and take all of them down before they can target either the doctor or the crown tower.

Cycle deck is the name used for low elixir decks with an average elixir cost of around two or three. Such decks are useful to regularly deploy an attacker or tank in the battle. Players can use low-elixir cards like Skeletons, Spirits, and more to get Goblinstein back in the cycle as quickly as possible.

As a champion card, Goblinstein won't appear in the cycle until the previous one is busted. In cycle decks, players would immediately get access to Goblinstein as soon as it gets busted in the battle. This way players will be able to create a lot of pressure on the opponent.
