Brawl Stars General Manager Frank Keinburg recently posted a video on X revealing the development team's 2025 roadmap for the game. He stated that many new changes are in store for the game next year, like more collaborations, new permanent features, events, and a lot more. He also explained what's next for 2024 as well.

Brawl Stars 2024 roadmap
1) Mortis vs Edgar limited-time event (October 2024)

A new limited-time event featuring Mortis squaring off with Edgar will arrive in November. However, we don't know much about these events since the developers have yet to share an official announcement.

2) Trophy Reserve system rework (October 2024)
As part of the seasonal Trophy Reserve system rework, your trophies will now be reserved every season, but only after you reach 1,000 trophies. Moreover, depending on how well you played during this season, you will be gifted with a new trophy box. This will contain a new Brawler skin that cannot be obtained using Bling.
However, this is what Frank had to say regarding the Trophy Road reword:
“The Trophy Road itself won’t be changed for now, but we will touch it later in the future.”
3) Surprise on Brawlidays (December 2024)
Brawl Stars has a surprise for all players this Brawlidays season (December 2024) to celebrate Christmas. While there’s much we don’t know, we expect new free skins and rewards for all players. Moreover, the Brawlidays season might also feature a collaboration event at the same time, so keep an eye out for it.
Brawl Stars 2025 roadmap
1) Frequent QOL changes (Throughout 2025)
Every update of 2025 will aim to introduce frequent but smaller improvements. These will aim at improving the game’s performance and fixing bugs in the process. The developers will also introduce new QOL (quality of life) changes to make it easier for players to select Brawler while playing ranked matches.
Moreover, they will release other big features or rework old ones, like the Mega Pig, with every major update, which will take place every four months.
2) Merging ranked mode and esports (February 2025)
The first update for this game in 2025 will introduce new features that further integrate ranked progression and esports together.
This X post clarified that Brawl Stars will become more esports-centric next year. This is what Frank said:
“As we have seen with other games, it’s a great way to introduce unknown players into the eSports world.”
Therefore, they aim to make the transition from casual to pro smoother at the esports level by allowing easier access through the ranked mode. The developers believe this will let them unearth new highly-skilled professional Brawl Stars players.
3) Time-limited collaborations with iconic IPs (April and June 2025)
Brawl Stars will now focus on more collaborations with famous IPs, as they did previously with the Godzilla and Spongebob seasons. Supercell intends to find new content for older players and attract new ones. Therefore, players will probably get to see more of these collaborations in April and June 2025.
3) Brawler Mastery and Trophy Road rework + Hypercharges for all (June 2025)
The devs will rework the Brawler Mastery system and trophy road in the June 2025 update. Here, they will integrate the Trophy Road with the Starr Park lore. This has only been explored in the game’s social media channels so far. The video had this to say:
“There are so many amazing stories to tell about Starr Park, and we want to tell them.”
This marks the first time it will be officially integrated into the game’s progression systems. The post also stated that players will get a guaranteed skin after a certain number of ranked drops, as they did with the introduction of the free Malicious Mandy skin. This update will also ensure that all brawlers in the game will have Hypercharges. Moreover, all new characters will also have Hypercharges from the date of release.
4) Power Level 12 and new unlockable skills (August 2025)
The devs seem to be busy working out new ways to introduce power level 12 brawlers in the game. This has been a much-requested feature since many players have upgraded most of their brawlers to Level 11. The game already has the feature of unlocking Starr Powers and Gadgets at certain power levels. Therefore, it’s hinted that players will probably have a new skill to unlock at power level 12 for all characters.
5) Revamped map maker (October 2025)
The Brawl Stars Map Maker will get a much-needed update in October 2025. This includes new options to make it easier for players to share the maps they create with others. It will also feature new options, allowing map creators to customize the map’s game mode.
