It has been over three years since Clash of Clans Pets was released. For those unaware, these in-game entities are paired with Heroes, and help them on the battleground by taking down their targets and assisting them with their abilities. They are accessible only when you unlock Town Hall 14 and build a Pet House in the Home Village.
Currently, there are 10 Clash of Clans Pets, each with a distinctive speciality. They can also be levelled up; however, this costs a certain amount of Dark Elixirs, which progressively increases as you upgrade them. Note that new Pets are unlocked by upgrading the Pet House building, which also costs Elixirs.
Let's look at all the Clash of Clans Pets and their specialities, so you can better decide which one will be perfect for your Hero.

All Clash of Clans Pets listed
1) L.A.S.S.I
L.A.S.S.I is the first Pet you get after building the Pet House building in the Home Village. It is skilled at jumping over walls and attacking ground targets. It attacks only those buildings within 2.5 tiles of the Hero you pair it with.
2) Electro Owl
Like Electro Dragons, Electro Owl's electric charge attacks bounce through multiple targets while dealing damage. The best part about using this Pet is that it solely attacks those buildings that the Hero targets, meaning you don't have to worry about Electro Owl lagging behind your Hero on the battlefield.
3) Diggy
Diggy is one of the best Clash of Clans Pets owing to how it stays underground while travelling around the enemy base. It only emerges when it nears and attacks its targets.
4) Mighty Yak
Mighty Yak is among the best Clash of Clans Pets for those who prefer ground attacks, as it easily cuts through walls to create a way in for your army. You can unlock this Pet by upgrading your Pet House to level 3.
5) Unicorn
Bid adieu to Healers and use Unicorns instead to save housing space in your army, if your attacking strategy involves the Queen, Warden, King, or Champion Walk. This is because this Pet follows its Hero around the battlefield and heals them.
6) Frosty
Frosty is skilled at attacking ground targets within 4.5 tiles of its Hero, and spawning Frostmites against nearby defences. Upgrade the Pet House to level 5 to unlock this Pet.
7) Poison Lizard
Poison Lizard can spit blobs of Poison, deal consistent damage to its enemies, and slow them down. Upgrade the Pet House to level 7 to unlock this Pet.
8) Phoenix
Phoenix grants its Hero a few seconds of invulnerability before they are knocked down. After being hatched, it also deals lethal splash damage to the Hero's targets.
9) Spirit Fox
Spirit Fox is a recently released Pet introduced in the TH16 update. It's among the best Clash of Clans Pets, and briefly grants invisibility to itself and its Hero. It can be unlocked by upgrading the Pet House to level 9.
10) Angry Jelly
Angry Jelly is the latest addition to the Clash of Clans Pets roster. It is skilled at making its Hero solely attack defences for a certain period and also assists them in doing so.
