Sour Elixir: Explained
Sour Elixir is the temporary currency, valid for the duration of the event. Players can collect it by raiding enemy villages and logging in to the game. Additionally, a temporary Hydra Headstone building will be placed in the village, which will produce 100 Sour Elixirs every day.
Collecting Sour Elixir will progress players through the event's reward track. The progression allows players to unlock temporary troops and a Hydra Headstone decoration.

The event will reportedly feature five new temporary troops:

- Ice Minion: Ice Minion is the combination of a Minion and Ice Golem, placed at 1000 Sour Elixir.
- Barcher: Mixture of Barbarian and Archer, unlocked at 2000 Sour Elixir.

The event will see the return of the Scary Troops to make Clash-O-Ween more exciting. The developers have confirmed this through a clip posted online. In the clip posted on the official Clash of Clans X page, it can be seen that the Builder's apprentice is taking a nap and gets reprimanded by the Builder.
The apprentice ignores his superior and goes to the forests to rest his eyes. After a spooky encounter, he accidentally drops into a pool of Sour Elixir which spills over and awakes the Scary Troops in their graves.
