Clash Royale's Cannon Evolution is one of the two latest card evolutions that will be released in November 2024, alongside the evolved Musketeer. As per RoyaleAPI, the game's leading news outlet, the enhanced version of this ranged unit will be released in the second week of the month as part of the in-app purchase. Activating the evolution will require two cycles, which means that one in every three deployments will be the evolved version.

Ability of Clash Royale's Cannon Evolution

The Cannon's evolution ability, Deploy Barrage, allows it to fire nine projectiles simultaneously, pushing enemies back by one tile. When activated, nine distinct rings appear, indicating the projectiles' impact points. Five rings are positioned horizontally in front of the Cannon, while the other four are aligned on its sides.

Each ring has a 1.5-tile radius, but the applied damage covers an area of 2.5-tile radius. This causes the projectiles to overlap. Notably, the target takes damage only once even if they are positioned at the intersection of two rings — this prevents the Cannon from being overpowered.

Although the front-facing five rings typically cannot reach enemy Towers to deal area damage, they effectively halt advancing enemy troops in their path by targeting both air and ground units. Furthermore, players can use the Cannon as an offensive unit by destroying one of the opponent's Towers and positioning the troop on the enemy's side.

• Barrage Damage: 320
• Barrage radius: 2.5 tiles

Following the latest trend, Supercell has not provided a boost to the Clash Royale Evolution's basic stats. Instead, it has added two new stats for the deployed rings: Barrage Damage and Barrage Radius. The provided Barrage Damage is enough to finish low-health troops and spells, like Skeletons, Archer, and The Log.
