The Clash Royale Shocktober 2 season Pass Royale has introduced several interesting changes to the game. All previous Pass Royales had three separate tiers, namely the Free, Gold Tier, and Diamond Tier. However as of the Shocktober 2 season, the Gold Tier has been removed, and the Diamond is the only premium variant.

The Pass Royale follows a progression-based reward system. Players need to collect crowns to progress through the Pass, and in total there are 60 levels of rewards. Since the Gold version of the Pass has been removed, only the Free and Diamond variants remain.

Changes to the Free Pass

- The free pass now includes an exclusive banner.
- Players can now win a free wild Evolution Shard from the pass.
- The pass also rewards a Royal Wild chest, which is guaranteed to drop a champion.
