The Brawl Stars community is in an uproar, with many players declaring that the game is the worst it has ever been. The primary reason for this dissatisfaction is the overwhelming presence of the new Brawler, Buzz Lightyear, which has made matches unplayable. Recently, a Redditor posted on the Brawl Stars subreddit about the problem with the limited-time brawler:
"U can't play a single without at least 5 Buzz Lightyear's it's unplayable right now"
Another user named u/CMYGQZ replied to the post by pointing out exactly what the issue with the new Brawler was:

"Mainly because they allowed multiple of him in the same team."
Redditor u/Ice-Novel further added to the thread, going into the nitty-gritty of how the new Brawler has altered the gameplay mechanics. The user didn't hold back as they went on a rant and stated:
"Matchmaking would be f***** iif you couldn’t repeat with 80-90% of players using him ATM. Especially at lower trophies where players don’t have their brawlers maxed, it’s basically impossible to compete since Buzz is maxed out. They should’ve made it so his level scaled with his trophies (every 100 trophies or so, Buzz gets a level) so that low ladder wasn’t completely ruined. They really should limit these kinds of brawlers to limited game modes in the future instead of just letting them loose on ladder. If there were a specific rotation of gamemodes with toy story modifiers where you could use Buzz, that would be really fun, but just letting him be used anywhere has uprooted the game."
Apart from these, many players have reported that it's nearly impossible to engage in a game without encountering multiple instances of Buzz on opposing teams, leading to a frustrating gameplay experience.
Buzz Lightyear's abundance has created an imbalance in Brawl Stars
According to the Brawl Stars community on Reddit, the introduction of Buzz Lightyear has created a significant imbalance in the game. Players are expressing their frustration about how powerful and versatile Buzz is, allowing him to be effective in various roles - be it as a tank, damage dealer, or sniper.
The frustration is evident from Redditor u/Goal-Editz's comments,
"My main reason is bcs he's too versatile like u can play as a tank a damage or a sniper."
This versatility has led to a situation where players feel compelled to use Buzz to remain competitive, and lower-tier brawlers struggle against maxed-out Buzz characters.
Players like u/KnightOfSteel-KOS wrote,
"tbh its mainlly because at all trophies ranges under 1000 not all people are lv 11 and buzz is max by default so pushing with low level brawlers ( for bronze 1 or just fun ) is acutally impossible its like playing lv 1 dyna against 8 max level mortises i only played him for the bronze reward."
The sentiment within the Braw Stars subreddit reflects a collective discontent with Supercell's handling of the game's balance and updates. Many users have admitted that they find the game unenjoyable and are considering stepping away from it altogether.
Especially, the overwhelming use of Buzz has been described as "spammy", with some players preferring to play other games rather than face off against teams dominated by this character.
As discussions continue, it is clear that many Brawl Stars players are seeking immediate changes to restore balance and enjoyment in the game. The community is urging developers to take player feedback seriously and implement necessary adjustments to ensure that gameplay remains fair and engaging for all users.
The community is hopeful that Supercell will take this feedback into account and take action accordingly. If these issues remain unaddressed, the risk of losing dedicated players grows, potentially impacting the game's future and vibrant community.
