"It's been a win or learn mentality for our team": Boom Esports on their journey up to Honor of Kings Championship 2024

Boom Esports was one of the biggest teams in the the recently concluded Honor of Kings Championship 2024. The squad consisted of popular players like Miggie, Arise, Dragon, Azar (on loan), Impressive, Razer, and Ajizix. After dominating the Philippines qualifiers and the KC 2024 group stages, they were knocked out of the playoffs after consecutive defeats.

As they look forward to their future challenges, they will look to carry on their momentum from the group stages.


Boom Esports shares their experience of playing in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024

Q. Since your lineup was formed, you have been in great form. What has been your mantra to success?

Boom Esports: It's been a win or learn mentality for our team. We may not always win, but we are confident that we are always progressing upward.


Q. Boom Esports has performed exceptionally in the tournaments held in the Philippines. You have also shown guile and character while succeeding in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 group stages. What do you think has recently clicked for you as a team?

Boom Esports: We have been studying and preparing really hard since the group was drawn. Our preparation has had a good effect on our team in the group stages.


Q. Which teams are you most looking forward to facing in the playoffs and the latter stages of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024?

Boom Esports: We are really looking forward to meeting the Malaysian teams Black Shrew Esport and Nova Esports, as they are the best region (outside China) since Honor of Kings has been introduced globally.


Q. Despite being on loan, Azar has performed really well for Boom Esports. Any comments on his performance?

Boom Esports: Azar performed exceptionally well, especially considering he had been benched long before we loaned him from Team Secret. This situation has given him a strong drive to showcase his skills and prove himself to the world as one of the best players.

Q. What will be your message to the fans supporting you on your journey?

Boom Esports: We thank every BOOM fan from Indonesia and the Philippines (and across the globe, if there's any) for all the love and support. You guys are our buffs!


While Honor of Kings enthusiasts from the Philippines and Indonesia have seen a major growth in the esports scene in the last few months, Boom Esports' progression in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 will only further develop the scene in these countries.
