The Monster Hunter Now Driftsmelting Bonanza is set to arrive on January 13, 2025. During its run, certain monsters will appear more frequently, and hunting them will be a great way to farm the Mysterious Driftstone D. Additionally, the event will feature limited-time quests, which will be accessible from the Special Quests tab.

Monster Hunter Now Driftsmelting Bonanza: Everything you need to know
The Monster Hunter Now Driftsmelting Bonanza will be the second event of the game's fourth season.
Monsters
During the event, the following monsters will appear more frequently in the corresponding habitats:
- Deviljho: Forest, desert, swamp, and tundra habitats (This monster will appear more frequently in volatile territories)
- Coral Pukei-Pukei: Forest, and swamp habitats
- Barioth: Tundra habitat
Additionally, only the monsters listed above will appear in event-exclusive Hunt-a-thon points.
Schedule
The Monster Hunter Now Driftsmelting Bonanza will arrive at 9:00 AM on January 13, 2025, and run till January 19, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Players will have around seven days to play it.
Driftstones
During the event, Driftsones-related aspects will change as follows:
- Defeating a large monster may drop a Mysterious Driftstone D.
- Deviljho, Coral Pukei-Pukei, and Barioth will drop Mysterious Driftstone D. Other large monsters will either drop a regular Driftstone or Mysterious Driftstone D.
- The driftsmelting distance for Driftstones acquired during the event will be decreased from 5 km to 2.5 km.
- Mysterious Driftgem D will be eligible for exchanging driftstone shards.
- Mysterios Driiftstone D and Mysterios Driftgem D may grant the players' armor the new Dauntless and Headstrong skills.

Skills
The Monster Hunter Now Driftsmelting Bonanza will introduce players to Dauntless and Headstrong skills.
Dauntless
The damage output of the hunter increases after performing a forward evasion. The effect will end after some time or if the player's health becomes fully depleted. The skill can be activated by performing a forward dash.
Headstrong
The damage increases after not evading any monster strikes for a few seconds. The effect will end if the player evades or depletes their health. To activate the skill, withstand enemy attacks.
Event quests
The event quests will task hunters with slaying Deviljho, Coral Pukei Pukei, and Barioth. The rewards are as follows:
- Insta-Smelt Solution
- Monster Bone+ and other gatherable materials
- Wyvern Gem Shard, Deviljho Saliva, and other monster materials
