The Monster Hunter Now Halloween event is underway and has re-released Jack-o'-Head armor, along with a fresh weapon, Cawscythe, and Armor Ghost Balloon. Players can get this year's exclusive Halloween hunter medal and guild card background in the event. Lastly, a limited-time pack containing Halloween-themed layered equipment has also been offered in the in-game shop.

Event details

Limited-time event quests

During Haunted Weapon, players must finish quests that challenge them to gather Lollipop Candy and eliminate large monsters to collect tickets, including Pumpkin Tickets and Spooky Tickets. The former is used to forge and upgrade Jack-o'-Head armor released last year, while the latter is used to forge and upgrade Cawscythe.

In the Phantom Friend event, players must complete quests that task them to kill large monsters. This yields Ghost Balloon Tickets used to forge and upgrade Ghost Balloon.

Rewards

Here are the rewards offered in the Monster Hunter Now Halloween event:

  • Pumpkin Tickets
  • Spooky Tickets
  • Ghost Balloon Tickets
  • Exclusive hunter medal
  • Exclusive guild card background
  • Monster materials, such as a Wyvern Gem Shard

New monsters and Kulu-Ya-Ku

Players can expect more appearances of Kulu-Ya-Ku and Aknosom in the Monster Hunter Now Halloween event. Note that all Kulu-Ya-Ku will appear holding rocks like pumpkins on the field and drop Pumpkin and Spooky Tickets. Moreover, Aknosom will be dropping Spooky Tickets but not Pumpkin Tickets.

Besides all this, Nightshade Paolumu and Magnamalo will make frequent appearances. They will drop Ghost Balloon Tickets.


Event-exclusive equipment

Head armor: Jack-o'-Head

  • Skill: Solidarity (Halloween)
  • Skill effect: When activated, it boosts attack power depending on the number of allied hunters.
  • Requires Pumpkin Tickets.

Long Sword: Cawscythe

  • Element: Dragon
  • Skill: Power Prolonger (level 2)
  • Skill effect: Frequently increases the powered-up state duration granted by dual blades, long swords, and charge blades.
  • Requires Spooky Tickets

Waist armor: Ghost Balloon

  • Skill: Artful Dodger
  • Skill effect: Makes performing perfect evades easier.
  • Requires Ghost Balloon Tickets.
