Sportskeeda recently had a chance to speak with Blacklist International players about their first major Honor of Kings tournament. Here’s what they recounted form Honor of Kings Championship 2024:
Q. What was your experience playing against the teams in Group Stage?
Aaron: It's been a long time since we last played a LAN tournament. Everything felt new, and I felt nervous in our first series like it was my first time playing in a LAN tournament. But in the next matches, I started to feel the presence of the stage and became confident in every game.
Q. Which team was the toughest to compete against?
Chazz: BSE because they played a lot of tournaments already, and their play is consistent.
Q. Which heroes were the hardest to counter?
Goldenk1te: Mai Shiranui because she has good mobility and is very hard to catch.
Q. What was your strategy going into the Group Stage?
Chammy1: Our strategy is to win with our normal composition so that in the playoffs we can surprise them with unusual picks.
Q. You defeated every team in the Group Stage, except Dominator Esports. What do you think went wrong against Dominator Esports?
Juschie: I think we underestimated them too much, to the point that we always threw the game against them.
