M6 World Championship is the biggest yearly esports tournament for the Mobile Legends Bang Bang community. Malaysia hosted the pro teams participating in the sixth season of MLBB's flagship tournament, where Fnatic ONIC Philippines lifted the trophy and the lion's share of the prize money on the final day.
The team won the M6 World Championship while staying unbeaten. They maintained the Philippines' reign in the M Series World Championship with five consecutive victories since M2.
There was a live attendance of over 7,000 audience members and 4.129 million peak concurrent viewers (PCV) who witnessed Fnatic ONIC PH's triumphant victory over Team Liquid on the last day (December 15, 2024) of the M6 World Championship final.
Meanwhile, Moonton Games also unveiled a new MLBB logo and the venue for the M7 World Championship on the same day.

"M6 has once again confirmed the growing appeal of MLBB esports, bringing an ever-expanding audience to its flagship tournament. While not a record-breaking event, M6 delivered outstanding results, with notable growth compared to M5, including a 66% increase in average viewership during the Group Stage."

"TikTok played a pivotal role, contributing over 31% of total hours watched, while the expanded co-streaming program drove deeper community involvement, raising the share of community casting from 18% last year to 24% in terms of viewership."

Fnatic ONIC Philippines become the champions of the M6 World Championship
The M6 World Champions, which commenced on November 21, 2024, saw eight teams compete against each other to enter the Swiss Stage of this year's M Series World Championship. The Swiss Stage began on November 28, 2024, with 16 teams locking horns against each other for a place in the Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage began on December 7, 2024, and concluded on December 15, 2024.
Fnatic ONIC PH put up a valiant show throughout all stages and maintained a winning streak to enter the final game against Team Liquid Indonesia. The Filipino side held their nerves in the finals and beat the latter 4-1 in a best-of-seven game. With this, they won the fifth consecutive M Series title for the Philippines and a majority of the $1 million prize pool.

Meanwhile, Selangor Red Giants, the Malaysian heavyweights, finished in third place despite losing to Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Finals. Team Spirit were fourth in this year's tournament.
While it was a good campaign for Selangor Red Giants, some fans may be disheartened, as their defeat against Team Liquid ended their Golden Road ambitions, i.e., winning all the major MLBB titles in a year.
Moonton Games announces the venue for the M7 World Championship
Moonton Games revealed the venue for the M7 World Championship from the stage of the M6 World Championship final. Per the announcement, the flagship MLBB tournament will return to Jakarta, Indonesia, the home of the biggest MLBB fans, two years after it was last held there.

The M7 will be held in January 2026. Banbang Sunarwibowom, Executive Chairman of the Indonesian Esports Federation (PD ESI), Police Commissioner General (Ret.), said:
"We are optimistic that the presence of M7 will provide wider global exposure, introduce the potential of Indonesian talents to the international community, and strengthen Indonesia's image as the center of Asian esports. No less important, we hope this event can inspire the younger generation to see esports as a future industry that has great opportunities, both as professional athletes, creators, and other supporting professions in the esports ecosystem."
MLBB returns to the Esports World Cup with a new logo and a new region
Moonton Games also unveiled a new logo for MLBB on the final day of the M6 World Championship. The new design features flame-like details on the edges of the previous logotype, symbolizing a gamer's burning passion and competitive spirit.

The game will also launch in China in January 2025, adding the region to the roster. That means from next year, players and pro teams from the Chinese region will compete in professional and global tournaments and look to become a formidable region in MLBB esports.
