Q. Nova Esports is synonymous with success in esports. Do you find any added pressure while playing for the team?
Xuan: There is always pressure, especially when you are expected to win from the get-go. We just have to trust in the process, and training, and always work to be better team players and versions of ourselves.
Q. You were placed at the top of the table in the Malaysia Qualifiers as well as the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 group stages. What has been your mantra for such consistent performances?
Muci: The key to success is discipline. We have a fixed schedule daily; we wake up, eat, train, and sleep together. This builds good communication and strengthens our bond every day.
Q. You will face Black Shrew Esports in the quarter-finals. What will be your approach against them and the teams you face as you progress?
Coach Rainer: Our approach was to not let them get into rhythm. We managed to do that in games 1 and 3. However, we made some small mistakes in the games we lost, which you cannot allow against an opponent of that caliber. We will adjust our strategies and cut off the mistakes in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024. We will not lose again.
Q. Which hero has been your favorite so far in the tournament?
Wendy: Mai Shiranui is my favorite hero. She brings big burst damage, engagement capabilities, and versatility to fit into meta teams, and her design and gameplay are very cool.
Q. What will be your message to the fans supporting you on your journey?
Nova Esports: We thank all the fans for their support. Without you, we really would not have made it this far. We hope you will continue to support us as we strive to be Champions of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024.
While Honor of Kings enthusiasts have seen a massive boost in the game's esports scene, it remains to be seen if Nova Esports can clinch the Honor of Kings Championship 2024.
