Spelling Bee Stats given by Spelling Bee Buddy
Created and introduced in April 2023, Spelling Bee Buddy is a personalized statistics and hints section of the New York Times game. While Wordle’s Wordlebot provides detailed analysis and shows statistics related to other players after the game, Spelling Bee Buddy updates during the game. Thus every time the player enters a word, the site updates itself and shows the solver what they have to do next. From a real-time grid showing the remaining words by letter to hints from other players, Spelling Bee Buddy contains everything a solver needs.
Customized Hints
As the Hivemind community posts its fair share of hints and clues, the Spelling Bee Buddy has taken things one step further and brought in Customized Hints. These hints are tailored to each player as they progress through the daily puzzle with each guess. The hints are designed to help the solver without revealing too much of the answer and they’ll change as the player finds more words.
They range from something as simple as “the most common starting letter is A from the words remaining” to suffix and prefix hints.
Grid of remaining words
A real-time feature, the Grid of remaining words is as the name suggests, a grid that contains all the words that the players have left in the word list for the daily puzzle. This is organized by the starting letter and the length of the word in ascending order. The grid automatically updates every time the solver guesses a word correctly and also shows players the distribution of words without spoiling anything.
This breaks down the amount of work players have to do but it does mean that solvers have to have a good vocabulary to guess the word just based on the first letter and the number of letters. Where this grid really thrives is showing newcomers or even experienced players, starting letters that haven’t been explored yet.
Two-Letter list
A special feature made for the Spelling Bee, the Two-Letter list shows the word count for each two-letter combination in the daily puzzle. Like everything else in Spelling Bee Buddy, the list updates in real time and doesn’t reveal specific words to the player. Instead, it’s simply another tool that players can use to help identify letter combinations and reduce the number of errors a player can make.
You vs Other Bee Buddy visitors
Similar to what Wordlebot provides, the You vs Other Bee Buddy visitors feature allows players to compare their performances with other Spelling Bee players. It shows the percentage of players that found each word and updates in real-time as players keep discovering new words in the puzzle. It helps show solvers where they rank amongst other players which helps motivate them towards improvement. Not only that, it helps show players which words were challenging for others and easier for others compared to themselves.
If you want to improve your rank, try using our Spelling Bee Solver to keep yourself ahead of your opponents.
Spelling Bee Statistics From Other Websites
Ever since it made its debut in May 2018, the New York Times Spelling Bee has run over 2300 daily puzzles and since then, it has given rise to several websites that do statistics including the Spelling Bee Solver. A popular site amongst players, the site provides hints and answers to those who want it and also has an archive of every puzzle Spelling Bee has ever had. Not only that, the site also has a statistics page that provides slightly more obscure stats about the game.
