Supercell has announced via X that the new Clash Royale 2v2 League has been temporarily deactivated due to multiple issues, including constant crashes and incorrect rewards. The developer has assured players that it is currently addressing these problems and that the event will return in a few days.

This article explains the three main reasons why the Clash Royale 2v2 League was deactivated after just one day.

This is the second time Supercell has disabled an event post-launch, having previously done the same with the Classic and Welterweight 2v2 modes. According to various X posts, the developer has identified three primary issues affecting the Clash Royale 2v2 League event.

1) Zero victory gold

Firstly, players who win a Clash Royale 2v2 League match are incorrectly shown as having received zero gold. All players facing this issue appear to have received the same amount of gold.

However, this is just a visual bug; Supercell has reassured players that this issue will be fixed soon and that they are indeed receiving the correct amount of gold.

2) Receiving incorrect wooden chests

Secondly, when players win their first three matches in the event, they incorrectly receive wooden chests instead of the correct reward of 800x season tokens for each win.

Supercell is working to correct this issue so that players can receive the correct rewards for progressing up the rewards ladder, which consists of 29 milestones.

3) Game crashing when inviting friends

Thirdly, Clash Royale 2v2 League players are experiencing game crashes whenever they invite a friend to play. This issue seems to be the main factor behind Supercell's decision to temporarily remove the event, as most players would try to complete this league by partnering with friends.

When it comes to the time Supercell will take to resolve these issues, the developer wrote in its post’s comment section:

“It's taking more time than expected to list eligible players before crediting, but we're working on it!”

The event will likely be back soon in a couple of days through a new maintenance update.
