The Australian from Gold Coast, Mick Doohan made his debut in the year 1989 riding for Team Honda. In a 10 year career, the Australian took part in 137 races and won an impressive 54 of them.
In all, he stood on the podium 95 times, accumulating 2283 points in his MotoGP career. Mick Doohan won 5 consecutive MotoGP Riders Championships between 1994 and 1998. In the year 1997, he set 4 benchmarks which haven't been broken by anyone till date.
