The title sponsor of the 2013 British MotoGP has been revealed as Hertz, as announced by Dorna Sports and the Hertz Corporation.
The British version of the premier motorcycle racing championship will take place at Silverstone and will last from August 30th to September 1st.
Michel Taride, the Group President of Hertz International, said: “The whole team is very excited to play a role in staging the Hertz British Grand Prix again this year. Our ongoing partnership with Dorna Sports and MotoGP provides us an excellent opportunity to associate our fastest, easiest and most valued car rental brand values with the adrenalin fuelled action and excitement of the world-renowned racing event.”
Hertz, which is the world-leading general use car rental brand, will benefit significantly from the media with the help of a wide range of marketing and brand building opportunities which will cover the track side, bridge, starting point, winners’ podium backdrops, clothing of the Paddock Girls and enhanced visibility in the MotoGP circuit in Austin.
Dorna Sports and Hertz, who has been the car and equipment rental supplier for the motorcycle racing World Championship since 2010, got its first title sponsorship in 2012. The strength of their partnership is demonstrated by including an option for an extension to the year 2014.
Pau Serracanta, Managing Director Commercial Area, Dorna, said: “To have Hertz on board as title sponsor once more for the 2013 British MotoGP gives me great pleasure. It not only shows the strength of our continued collaboration, but also the benefits and advantages the sponsorship of such a popular world-renowned racing event can have. With an extremely exiting season ahead, during which we will continue to use Hertz’s worldwide service for both vehicle and equipment rental, the Silverstone round is the ideal event to showcase our strong partnership.”
