Marc Marquez entered the MotoGP class in 2013 and brought in a new era of championship dominance to the sport. The Spaniard's arrival titled the championship away from Lorenzo, and since then, Marquez won five titles in six MotoGP seasons.

The 25-year-old competed in over 180 Grand Prix Motorcycles races and went on to claim seventy race wins in his decade-long career. With a fair amount of racing still left in him, it shouldn't be a surprise if he overtakes Rossi to become the most successful MotoGP racer of all time.

After finding tremendous success in the Moto2 and the Moto3 class, the prolific Spanish racer made his MotoGP debut in the 2013 season.

Marc Marquez's finished the debut race at Qatar in the third place, behind Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The Spaniard better himself in the second race at the Circuit of the Americas as he took a marvellous race win from the pole position.

This was the first win of his MotoGP career and the rest, as we know, is history as he went on to become one of the most successful motorcycle riders in the history of the sport.

Marc Marquez had a brilliant rookie season in MotoGP as he had fought Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo neck-to-neck for the entire 2013 season.

Both the Spanish riders entered the final race of the season at Valencia with a shot at creating history. Leading Lorenzo in the riders' championship standings, Marquez needed to finish fourth or better to secure the MotoGP World Championship in his debut season. Riding the Honda machine, the Spaniard started the race from the pole position but quickly surrendered the lead to Jorge Lorenzo.

Lorenzo won the race, but that was not enough as Marquez finished third and became the youngest-ever MotoGP World Champion. Also, he is the first rider to win the MotoGP Championship in his rookie season in the MotoGP era.

After winning his first MotoGP championship at Valencia in 2013, Marc Marquez was back at the very same track four years later to clinch his fourth riders' championship.

The Spaniard went into the final race of the 2017 season with a 21-point lead over Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso and needed to finish eleventh or higher at the Valencia Grand Prix to secure the championship gold.

Marquez put on a strong show in qualifying and started the race in the pole position but surrendered the lead in the very first lap as he almost crashed out of the Grand Prix.

His rival, Dovizioso crashed out of the race on Lap 5, ending his title aspirations, and Marquez recovered to take a podium and claim the championship.

Marquez started the 2018 Aragon Grand Prix from the third place, while his rivals riding the Ducati machines started the race from the front row.

Lorenzo crashed out of the race on turn 1, which made it a bi-party tussle for race lead between Dovizioso and Marquez. Both the riders fought for the race lead for the better part of the race, but the Spaniard took the race lead and pulled away from the Italian on lap 21, two laps from the finish.

Marc Marquez crossed the chequered flag 0.6 seconds ahead of Dovizioso, increasing his championship lead over the Italian to 72 points.

The win at the 2018 Japanese Grand Prix clinched the 2018 MotoGP Championship in Marc Marquez's favour.

Marquez hadn't had the best of qualifying sessions at the Twin Ring Motegi as he started the race from the sixth place, while his title rival Dovizioso started the race from pole position.

Marquez showed brilliant pace as be moved behind Dovizisio in the closing stages of the race, hunting him down to a secure a race win. The Spaniard passed the Ducati rider on lap 21 and went on to win the championship with a comfortable margin as Andrea Dovizioso crashed out of the race on the penultimate lap of the race.

The race at Assen in the 2018 MotoGP season will be cherished by racing fans for a long time for it had many exciting encounters at the top throughout the duration of the race.

Marquez started the race from pole position and maintained the race pace throughout the duration of the Grand Prix, which saw six contenders fight for the win. One of his rivals, Lorenzo, started the race brilliantly as he moved from the tenth place to P2 at the end of turn one.

In the end, Marquez pulled away from the competition during the closing stages of the race to claim a famous victory with a gap of over 2 seconds ahead of Suzuki's Alex Rins, marking the 2018 Dutch Grand Prix as one of the best races of his career.
