Anthony James Allmendinger, also known as “The Dinger” to his fans, is the driver for Kaulig Racing in NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series. He used to race for JTG Daugherty Racing until the 2018 season of the Cup Series but he left before the completion of his contract ending a long time contract with the team.

Allmendinger spent the following years as a NASCAR Analyst and part-time driver in Xfinity and Cup Series. He made a comeback to the highest level of stock car racing with Kaulig Racing, during the 2023 Cup Series season. He was also a driver for Michael Shank’s in the 24 Hours of Daytona race, winning the event in 2012.

AJ Allmendinger was born December 16, 1981. He has made 431 starts in NASCAR over 17 years of his career. He won his first professional championship in 2002 while competing in the Barber Dodge Pro Series.

AJ Allmendinger Wins

AJ Allmendinger has secured 3 victories throughout his career in NASCAR. He won the 2023 Bank of America Roval 400 making a significant return with Kaulig Racing. Allmendinger’s first victory came in the 2014 Cheez-It 355 at Glen. Glen also won the Verizon 200 at Brickyard in 2021. The driver has collected 17 wins in the Xfinity Series becoming the regular season champion in 2021 and 2022. He is expecting to carry over his success in the Cup Series.

Allmendinger was on his way to a comfortable victory and his first in Cup Series at the Sonoma Raceway in 2014 but he was wrecked by Dale Earnhardt Jr. with 25 laps to go. He made a comeback at Watkins Glen and took the lead of the race from ex-teammate Marcos Ambrose with 30 laps to go getting his first win in the Cup Series.

AJ Allmendinger has achieved 77 Top-10s and 4 Poles in the NASCAR Cup Series. He was able to achieve 6 Top-10 finishes in the 2023 Cup Series. Allmendinger has secured a 6th place finish at the Daytona 500 in 2024 making a positive start to his campaign. He also has 71 Top-10s and 11 poles in the Xfinity Series. Allmendinger achieved his first Top-10 finish in the 2008 AllState 400 at the Brickyard while racing for Team Red Bull. He finished the race in 10th place in the driver standings. Allmendinger has never claimed a Top-10 finish in a Cup Series championship in his career as of 2024.
