Like her father, Kelley began her career as a stock car driver. However, with Dale Jr. entering the world of NASCAR, she focused on managing her brother. The siblings, along with Rick Hendrick and L.W. Miller started JR Motorsports in 2002.

Besides her role at JRM, Kelley is also the vice president of the Dale Jr. Foundation and manages several charities for the organization. The foundation launched the Driven to Give Glove Auction in 2015 and has been organizing the auction for Nationwide Children's Hospital annually. In 2023, the foundation raised an amount of $70,000.

This year, with 65 NASCAR Cup and Xfinity drivers wearing Dale Jr.-inspired skeleton gloves, the foundation created more awareness for the cause. The 2024 auction, managed by Pristine Auction, raised an amount of $80,190. Remembering her friend on the first anniversary of her passing, Kelley shared a post on her Instagram page.

"I miss so many things about you! It still doesn’t sink in that you are not here. I cherish the memories and think of them often," she wrote in the caption.

Several fans penned heartfelt messages for Sherry Pollex in the comments section. Despite her struggles, she continued to help others suffering from the disease and has been an inspiration to the NASCAR community for over 12 years.
