He was the first NASCAR driver to complete the Triple Threat - which included winning at the Martinsville Speedway in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series divisions. Labonte was nominated to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2020. Regarded as one of the better drivers in the circuit, Labonte has had several sponsors over the years. Let’s take a look at them.

After debuting in the NASCAR Cup Series in 1991, Labonte earned a full-time seat in the 1993 season when Bill Davis Racing offered him a contract to drive their No. 22 Ford Thunderbird, sponsored by Maxwell House, a division of Kraft Heinz. Labonte continued driving the Maxwell House-sponsored No. 22 car in the 1994 Cup Series season before leaving the team to join Joe Gibbs Racing for the 1995 season.

At Joe Gibbs Racing, Labonte replaced Dale Jarrett in the No.18 car, sponsored by Interstate Batteries, an American privately owned battery marketing and distribution company. This sponsorship lasted over a decade. During this period, Labonte won 21 races and clinched the 2000 NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

After more than 10 years with Joe Gibbs Racing, Labonte departed at the end of 2005 to join Petty Enterprises for the 2006 season. He drove the No. 43 Dodge Charger, which was sponsored by STP, an automotive aftermarket products brand, and Cheerios, a cereal brand owned by General Mills. STP ended their sponsorship after one year, but Cheerios remained until Labonte left the team to join Hall of Fame Racing for the 2009 season.

Labonte began racing the No. 96 Ford, sponsored by Ask.com, an internet search engine company. In the same season, he also drove for TRG Motorsports in their No. 71 Chevrolet, sponsored by TaxSlayer, a tax preparation and software company. The 2010 season was a busy one for Labonte, as he raced for four different teams, driving cars sponsored by companies like Gander Mountain and TaxSlayer.

Towards the end of his NASCAR career, Labonte found stability when JTG Daugherty Racing offered him a full-time contract for the 2011 season. This contract continued into the 2012 season and his final season in 2013. During this time, the No. 47 Toyota driven by Labonte had various sponsors like Scott Products, Busch’s Best, Kroger, and KINGSFORD among others.
