In April 1977, Jarrett entered his first professional race in the Limited Sportsman Division in Hickory with a 1968 Chevrolet Nova. Jarrett is best known for winning the Daytona 500 thrice in 1993, 1996, and 2000 and the NASCAR Winston Cup Series Championship in 1999 as per Wikipedia.
