Danica Patrick is one of the most successful women in American motorsports history. She remains the only woman to have ever won a race in the IndyCar Series after she claimed victory during the 2008 Indy Japan 300.

She also had a stint in NASCAR between 2012 and 2018, racing with Stewart-Haas Racing for most of her career, except for her final race with Premium Motorsports in 2018. However, her time behind the wheel in the Cup Series wasn't very competitive. It was apparent that her performance in open-wheel racing made her a prominent icon amongst women in motorsports.

Danica Patrick ended her racing career in 2018 after participating in the cornerstone events of the NASCAR Cup Series and IndyCar. She raced in the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 that season and bid farewell to her racing career for good.

She hasn't participated in a competitive race since then, but she continues to be related to motorsports. She has been working with Sky Sports as a presenter for Formula 1, extending her open-wheel experience in Europe.

Danica Patrick on accomplishing her childhood dream

After her racing career, Patrick has been expanding her ventures. She became an entrepreneur and business owner. She launched her clothing line, Warrior by Danica Patrick. She also authored a book and is the sole proprietor of a vineyard.

She launched her business venture during her final racing season in 2017. Whilst being tied up with other things in her life, she was able to step into this phase. She felt that it was the right time for her to get into this line of business.

"I was waiting for the perfect situation with the perfect partner. When HSN and (apparel maker) G-III came along, I knew it was the right time. It’s been exciting seeing the Warrior line come together. We’ve created what I believe is really the perfect athleisure collection that transitions through your day, no matter what you’re doing,” stated Danica Patrick. (via NASCAR)

Other than her racing career and business ventures, she has been politically active as well. During the 2024 Presidential Elections, she was an active supporter of Donald Trump and the Republican Party. She frequently promoted his campaign on social media and became popular amongst her followers.

Post the result, she has continued with her work in motorsports broadcasting. Notably, she also appeared on the latest season of Netflix Sports Drama Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
