Harrison Burton and his fiancee Jenna Petty were recently in New York to celebrate the NASCAR off-season. The 2024 Cup Series season concluded in November with the final Cup Series Championship race at Phoenix. As the drivers now have time to rest and spend quality time with their loved ones, Burton decided to venture into snowy New York City with Petty.
The 2024 season concluded with Joey Logano claiming the victory ahead of his Team Penske teammate, Ryan Blaney. William Byron of Hendrick Motorsports and Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing were the other finalists.
Roger Penske's team, Team Penske, claimed the Owner's title for the third consecutive year, following Logano and Blaney's driver championships in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Meanwhile, Burton finished the season in 16th place with 2122 points.
With racing temporarily out of mind, Burton seized the opportunity to spend quality time with his fiancee, Jenna Petty. The couple bundled up in warm winter attire and embarked on a romantic date in the heart of New York City, Times Square.
Prior to their outing, Petty clinched a mirror selfie and posted it from her official Instagram account. Following this, she uploaded a series of posts, where they were seen enjoying their time out in the city that never sleeps.
Here's a screen grab of Petty's Instagram story:
The Wood Brothers Racing driver qualified for the playoffs this season after winning the 2024 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona. However, he could not make further progress as he was eliminated in the round of 16.
Burton concluded his season with a respectable performance, securing a Top 5 finish and two additional Top 10 finishes. However, his season was marred by a shocking seven DNFs. Despite starting races on average from the 24.472 position, his average finish position was 25.722.
Jenna Petty unraveled when she fell in love with Harrison Burton
In one of her recent social media posts, Jenna Petty revealed how she met her fiancee, Harrison Burton. Through Petty's post, it is clear that they were childhood sweethearts. Here's what she wrote:
"We grew up going to the same school but never knew each other. We first talked on a double date, that we didn't go on for each other (lol), but ended up falling for one another & have been inseparable ever since I was 15 and he was 16."
Harrison Burton is poised to return to the Xfinity Series in 2025 with AM Racing. This move follows Wood Brothers Racing's decision to sign Josh Berry for the 2025 Cup Series season.
The 24-year-old spent three years with WBR, securing a single victory in his Cup Series career, a historic win at Daytona that marked WBR's 100th Cup Series victory.
