Between his child acting days and current racing career, star actor turned NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz has made a quality living for himself. The 39-year-old is worth $30 million according to Celebrity Net Worth and has managed to pocket money in many ways.

Muniz's first claim to fame was being the star of the American sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, a show that ran on FOX from 2000-2006. Muniz's performance in the show made him an instant superstar as he earned Emmy and two Golden Globe Award nominations. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Muniz, who portrayed Malcolm in the show, earned just over $10 million during his time on the show.

The report adds that Muniz earned a "per-episode" salary of $30,000, meaning he earned $30,000 for each episode produced. Muniz pocketed $480,000 for the first season, $750,000 in season two, and $660,000 for the third season. The New Jersey native then earned $4.95 million across the final three seasons. Muniz then earned $3.3 million in the show's seventh and final season.

Muniz appeared in other roles outside of Malcolm in the Middle, which included small TV roles or cameos in things such as My Dog Skip (2000), Big Fat Liar (2002), Agent Cody Banks (2003), Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London (2004) and Stay Alive (2006). Per Celebrity Net Worth, Muniz earned $2 million for his role in Agent Cody Banks and $5 million in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London. Muniz's earnings for the other roles aren't listed.

Frankie Muniz ventured into NASCAR competition back in 2023 when he competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. He has also raced part-time in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and Xfinity Series. In 2025, Muniz will move up to the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series full-time in 2025 behind the wheel of the #33 Reaume Brothers Racing Ford. His racing earnings aren't listed, but it's safe to say the former Hollywood actor is still making money today in the world of racing.

Frankie Muniz has "unfinished business" in his racing career

After returning to racing in 2023, Frankie Muniz knew it was now or never to live out his dream of racing in NASCAR. He has a shot to do that in 2025 with Reaume Brothers Racing in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

In an interview with racing insider Carla Metts Gabehart, Muniz went into detail about how he revitalized his racing aspirations.

"I decided, you know what? I'm not getting any younger, I feel like I have a lot of unfinished business in the racing world. If I'm going to do it, I need to do it now, but I want to go NASCAR racing. I signed up for ARCA and really went in completely blind to what the experience would be like, but we had a good amount of success and I loved every minute of it," Frankie Muniz said. (0:23 onwards)

Muniz scored 11 top 10s and one top five in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023. He finished fourth in the points standings.
