Toyota, one of the biggest names in the automotive industry, entered the Motorsports fraternity in the early 1970s. Even though they have notable entries in stock car racing and open-wheel racing, they are prominently known for their NASCAR reigns, where they clinched 15 titles.
Toyota have been involved in NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula 1, WRC, WEC, Formula Three, Formula Drift, Super GT, NHRA, and USAC throughout their motorsport journey that has spanned over 50 years and counting. In NASCAR, they currently compete in the Truck, Xfinity, and Cup Series.
Even though the automobile company started in the Motorsport fraternity in the 1970s, they have a new operational front named Toyota Gazoo Racing.
