Kurt Busch is a former NASCAR driver who announced his retirement from the sport in 2023. Busch suffered a concussion at the Pocono Raceway in July 2022 folowing a crash, and that was his last involvement in on-track action. The next year, he announced his retirement. Kurt is also the older brother of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch.

The 46-year-old won his only NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2004, the year when the playoffs system was introduced. Busch ended his Cup Series career with 34 wins and 28 pole positions. His current marital status is divorced. However, Busch has been married twice during his life.

Kurt Busch’s first wife - Eva Bryan (2006-2011)

Kurt Busch and Eva Bryan first met on a blind date that was set up by the former NASCAR driver's spotter. Eva graduated from Old Dominion and worked at the First Virginia Bank in Virginia Beach. Exactly one year after their first blind date, Kurt and Eva got engaged on July 27, 2005. Exactly a year after the engagement, the two got married on July 27, 2006, in Eastville, Virginia.

In June of 2011, Busch formally came out and revealed that he'd been legally separated from his wife. His statement read (via Mass Live):

“Those in the NASCAR community have been aware for some time now that we are no longer together and we are legally separated. While we go through this process, it has been tough. The upcoming weeks we'll work at formally terminating our marriage. We do so with the most respect for one another and we'll always be friends.”

The couple got divorced in 2011, but the official date of the same wasn't revealed to the public.

Kurt Busch's second wife - Ashley Van Metre (2017-2022)

Kurt Busch met Ashley Van Metre through her sister. Van Metre’s sister was Busch's friend and she arranged the meet-up between the two. They first met in October 2014 and started dating the same month. The two got engaged a year later on August 26, 2015. Well over a year later, the two decided to tie the knot on January 7, 2017.

Ashley Van Metre is a professional polo player and a graduate of the Hill Academy. Van Metre always dreamed of becoming a polo player and started riding horses at the age of five. Five years after their marriage in 2017, Busch's wife Ashley filed for divorce in May 2022 in a Florida court. Busch released a public statement about his divorce from Ashley that read (via E! News):

“I am heartbroken to confirm that my wife Ashley and I are working to dissolve our marriage. Divorce is a personal and private matter, and I hope our privacy will be respected.”

Busch is currently dating Lyda Moore, who's a medical aesthetician and laser technician.
