Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch spent some quality time with his family, with the series being on a break in the ongoing Paris Olympics. His wife, Samantha Busch has turned heads with her outfits on their Italy trip.

Busch had an underwhelming season so far in 2024. The 39-year-old driver hasn't won a race in the 22-race weekends so far. He finished in the Top 5 twice and in the Top 10 six times. The Las Vegas-based racer has also had multiple clashes with other drivers this season, both on and off the track. His most controversial tussle was with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after the All-Star Race.

The Richard Childress Racing driver is now on a vacation in Italy with his wife Samantha and two children Brexton Locke and Lennix Key. The break might help him rejuvenate and replenish his energy before the rest of the season.

A look at Kyle Busch's performance throughout the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season and Playoff chances this year

After getting disqualified early in two back-to-back Playoffs, Kyle Busch was looking to make amends in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. However, the Nevada-based driver has been unable to make a mark this year.

Busch was able to clinch just one Top 5 finish in the first five races. Since then, the Richard Childress Racing driver has been unable to remain consistent. The highlights of the 39-year-old's season were the races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Dover Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway, and Daytona International Speedway where he scored 40, 42, 39, and 37 points, respectively.

With 5 DNFs as of now, Busch has a total of 440 points (309 behind championship leader Kyle Larson) in the regular season and is standing in 18th position in the driver's table right now. With just four races remaining ahead of the 2024 Playoffs, he is 112 points below the cutoff mark.

Behind competitive drivers like Bubba Wallace (+7 points) and Chase Briscoe (+83 points), the chances of Kyle Busch making it to the top 16 this year are quite slim.
