Over the last few months, the NASCAR fraternity was hot on Kevin Hamlin's relationship with Denny Hamlin. Chatters within fans suggested that both have a familial relationship because of their surname. However, others were not ready to buy it.
Kevin Hamlin has come into the headlines after his heated exchange with Alex Bowman, the Hendrick Motorsports driver he looks after, during the Wurth 400 at Dover in May. From then on, rumors surfaced that the former had a connection with the Joe Gibbs Racing driver.
Interestingly, the JGR driver has two siblings and the elder one's name is Kevin Hamlin. This puts fans into a confusing situation, as they wonder if this Kevin Hamlin is the same as the crew chief Kevin Hamlin.
Howsoever surprising it might be to fans, Crew Chief Kevin Hamlin and Denny Hamlin's brother Kevin Hamlin are not the same person. Furthermore, they do not have any familial relationship.
Interestingly, one more Kevin Hamlin is associated with American racing. Richard Childress Racing had a crew chief by the name of Kevin Hamlin, and he was not the same as Denny Hamlin's brother or Hendrick Motorsports crew chief.
In a nutshell, there are three Kevin Hamlins in the NASCAR fraternity, one is Alex Bowman's crew chief, one is Denny Hamlin's brother, and the third person is former Richard Childress Racing's crew chief. They are not related to each other.
