Jack Ingram was an American professional stock car racing driver. He previously competed in the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. Ingram was a native of Asheville, North Carolina in the United States. Jack Ingram was born on December 28, 1936 and passed away in June 2021. He spent the majority of his career racing in the Late Model Sportsman Series, which is now known as Xfinity Series. Ingram is a veteran in the Xfinity Series with 5 championships. Unlike other racers of his category, Ingram won his races when he was 45-50 years old.

Jack Ingram won three consecutive championships from 1972-1974 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He later won two more championships in 1982 and 1985, when the series was known as the Busch Series. Jack Ingram has claimed 31 victories in his career in the Xfinity Series. He only participated in 19 Cup Series races over 6 years of his career in the NASCAR Cup Series. Ingram is inducted into multiple Halls of Fame for his achievements in the sport. He was added to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2014 and named among the 75 Greatest Drivers in 2023. Ingram was nicknamed “Iron Man” during days racing in the Busch Series.

Ingram was the driver behind the wheel of the no.11 car of Ingram racing throughout his Busch Series career. He used to drive various manufacturers like Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Chevrolet in his Xfinity Series career. Jack Ingram also drove some races in the no.14 car of Silver Racing during the 1984 season. He returned with 5 championships in the series as a self-sponsored racer.

He did not have a full-time Cup Series career, but Ingram did attempt some races with his own team and others. The one notable team he appeared for was Junior Johnson & Associates in 1984. However, Ingram could not qualify for the Daytona 500 race which was the only event he participated in.
