Jack Ingram, nicknamed as “Iron Man”, was an ex-NASCAR driver and a champion in the Busch Series. Ingram mostly raced (275 races) in the Busch Series throughout his career, garnering only 19 starts in the Cup Series across six years. He is a part of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, where he was inducted in 2014 and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame since 2007. Ingram is also a part of NASCAR list of 75 Greatest Drivers of All time, which was introduced in 2023.

Jack Ingram was born on December 28, 1936 in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. He was known for driving the no. 11 car in the Busch Series. He was primarily sponsored by Skoal Bandit during his career. Jack Ingram held the record for most number of wins in the Busch Series until 1997. He is currently sixth in the list of drivers with most wins in the Xfinity Series (then known as Busch Series). Ingram passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 84.

Jack Ingram won 31 races throughout his NASCAR career. All of them came in the Busch Series. He drove for Ingram Racing for the majority of his career. He was one of the oldest drivers in the Series.

Jack Ingram won his 31 races between the age of 45-50 and claimed two championships. He is the championship winner of the 1982 and 1985 seasons in the Busch Series. The 1982 season was his first full season in the Busch Series.

He won his first Busch Series race in the 1982 Busch Series at the Galaxy Food Centers 300. He went on to win seven races in the season to claim his maiden title in NASCAR. Ingram’s last victory in NASCAR came at the 1987 Galaxy Food Centers 300.
